"Giving Tales" is a puppet show that tells four different folk tales from around the world, exploring the themes of friendship, generosity and kindness. The City of Pittsburgh's Office of Special Programs commissioned this show conceived by Cheryl Capezzuti and Kellee Van Aken. It features 18 puppets made entirely from materials given to Capezzuti by her generous neighbors and friends. The work was written and directed Van Aken and is performed by Ryan Jordan and Lexie Hellinger.
