TEEN INDEPENDENT STUDY IN PUPPETRY<\/a> for grades 7-12, meets the second Sunday of each month from 12 to 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teens with an interest in puppetry are invited to this once-a-month opportunity where they can connect with like-minded puppeteers and makers, learn new puppetry techniques and get help with independent projects of their choice. Spend a week in a real puppet studio. Join Ms. Capezzuti in her private studio for a week of puppetry and performance. Participants in this week-long experience will learn about Capezzuti's giant puppet collection, design and build their own giant puppet from start to finish and collaborate to create a puppet dance performance. On Friday, we will join the Citiparks Roving Art Cart at a major city park to see a puppet show, perform for the community, teach other kids how to make puppets and share a picnic lunch.\u00a0 GET MORE INFORMATION AND SIGN-UP HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ADULT PUPPETRY AND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

In this workshop, adults will meet most Monday nights to design puppets in the styles of their choice and, if interested, work together on performance opportunities. Want to build your own giant puppet? Want to experiment with puppetry in a fully stocked studio with guidance? Want to connect with like-minded creatives? This is for you. Cheryl Capezzuti is a puppet builder and puppeteer in Pittsburgh, PA. She runs Studio Capezzuti, a home base for all interactive projects. Capezzuti is best known for her parade-sized giant puppets and her largest work, the First Night Pittsburgh Parade. She is also a master teaching artist, commissioned puppetmaker, maker of small theatrical works.
